  I love this place. Best comfort food ever. Wine selection is out of this world. And the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in helping you select a wine that goes with your meal. Do yourself a favor and don't drive by this one. This one's a keeper.

  Every year when we travel all over the U.P. in August, we make a special stop here without fail ... this year was no exception. Karl's is a step above most with outstanding food, wine, & service. Every employee goes out of their way to make you feel they're genuinely happy to see you, the food is incredible, and I never leave without purchasing several bottles of Superior Coast wine to take home. Extra bonus...their Blueberry Vinaigrette salad dressing...they even fixed me a container to purchase & take home. If you're visiting the Soo, they're right on Portage, across from the Locks...the bonus is you can enjoy your time there and watch ships from Superior & Huron come through. Don't miss out on this very special place ... lunch or dinner...you won't be disappointed.

  Sooo yummy! Great soup and sandwiches. Creative dinner specials. Local and fresh food made from scratch. Awesome service. Great atmosphere. House made wine and beer. Awesome!

  Awesome location where you can watch freighters pass through the locks. Service was friendly and knowledgeable with good recommendations. Had a glass of the pale ale which was crisp and fresh. Boyne the pulled pork Stromboli special and pasty were delicious, good portions, and reasonably priced. Dining room and bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommended.
