  I used to only go to Gino's for breakfast and now i remember why. It is supposed to be an a family "Italian" restaurant yet the Italian menu items were the worst tasting. The pasta sauce was watery, very salty and tasted like it came from a can or a jar. I ordered grilled pickerel but it was definitely deep-fried. My girlfriend had shrimp that was battered and deep fried to a crisp - tasteless. The only good reviews on here i'm sure are coming from people who prefer to eat at truck stops and other greasy spoons.

  Ate breakfast at Gino’s recently. Disappointed with the omelet. Asked for double cheese and could barely see/taste any cheese. Pemeal bacon slices were so thin you could almost see through them. Very disappointed. Would have paid a little more for a decent portion of pemeal and for more cheese in the omelet.

  My wife and I went there for lunch as we wanted to go to a 'family' restaurant as opposed to a chain. We ordered sandwiches from the lunch menu which stated that soup , salad, fries or mashed were included. We both ordered soup( they only had two choices - chicken noodle or tortellini). What we got was some broth with a bunch noodles and tortellinis thrown in. I swear that it was soup from a can except Campbell's soup at least has some pieces of chicken in it and the Campbell's soup would be an improvement on this swill. They then had temerity to charge an extra two dollars for the tortellini soup though the menu said soup was included with the menu. The service was terrible, we had to ask the server for napkins and cutlery and the server tried to take my wife's food away without even asking if she was finished!! To top it off, while we were eating the servers were talking loudly about making sure the toilets we're clean and toilet paper stocked up. ( A 'family' restaurant indeed). All in all one of the worst restaurants we have ever been in. Terrible food, terrible service, this place had it all....beware people of the Soo.

  The quality of the sauce was worse than canned. The noodle type cost $2.00 more than spagetti noodles. I do not see why since the low quality sauce was the same. The sauce lacked substance and was bland in taste. Beer also tasted watered down. Very disappointing. Overall quality of the restaurant was evident in the number of vehicles in the parking lot compared to same type of restaurant 2km down the road.
