Mid January comes around, still no dress. The bride was going in for a fitting for her dress and asked about it. I was not there for these conversations, but the bride said she had to tell the owner of the store at least twice that we did not have the dresses and to get her to call the company. Long story short, it was about 2 weeks before we were leaving, still no dress. I called finally because at this point, I would have to pay extra to get the thing altered (hem and shoulder straps) to get it done in time. I was told it should be fine as I ordered it my size. Sure. At this point I find out they had the wrong information and thought the wedding wasn't until March 28 (or thereabouts). The dress came in to the store Friday 2 weeks before leaving and she was to overnight it for me. For some reason she sent it by Canada post (vs something a little faster like FedEx or ups). She dropped it off after 5 that Friday so it didn't get processed until the following Tuesday. Now the next part is not the her fault, although had things not been left so last minute, the extra few days wouldn't have mattered. The dress was delivered to the wrong place. I now had a week to find the dress somewhere in Ottawa and get it altered, the store samples were always 1-2 dress sizes smaller than me which also meant I needed to change it to a corset back. Thank god I found a store that had it, right colour, and was able to get it altered with 2 days to spare.

I understand mistakes happen, again, I have been serving people a long time. I get it. But this was such piss poor handling of a bad situation. Word of advice, if a dress hasn't come in, you contact the company and then immediately contact the client to say there has been a delay and you are looking into it. None of that communication happened here. On top of that, the bride had her own issues with her dress (also word of advice, if you know it is a destination wedding, make sure to send the wedding dress in a bag suitable for travel). The MOH also had issues with hers. I will let them write their own reviews if they so desire. I would never ever get a dress from here again.

Additionally it occurred to me later they had sized me for a different company dress. The bride remembers the owner hemming and hawing over whether I would be the same size in the second dress. Didn't bother to look at the size chart. Spoiler alert, it would not have fit. Always always compare to the size chart for different companies.

During that last hectic weekend I had called asking for a refund. I was told she couldn't do anything before hearing back from Canada post as they said it was delivered. As far as I was concerned this was her problem with them and didn't involve me anymore. But she kept saying this. Then it dawned on me. I asked if the problem was that she thought I was lying and really had the dress. Her response "well partly that but also....". She legit just called me a liar on the phone. I couldn't believe it. Even if that was a concern, I would need some pretty good proof before saying that to a client. I have been in the customer service industry 1/2 my life and I would NEVER say this to a client.

I flew to the Sault in September from Ottawa for the sole reason of dress shopping with the bride and MOH. In the store we were told that one section was dresses to purchase off the rack, and the other side was dresses to order customized. We picked out a dress and I paid right away with the idea it would be shipped to Ottawa, expected mid December. The wedding was March 1st, flight out of the country leaving Feb 24 at 6am in Toronto which meant travel to Toronto on the 23rd. Lots of time. I got a call from the bride a week or so later that a mistake was made, the dress we picked was meant to be in the other section of the store and thus could not be ordered. Thank god we had picked a runner up - the only reason I am not giving a 1 star review is they agreed to order this dress for us at no extra charge since it was a more expensive dress. This is the only thing done right
